Here’s what you will need:
- To be a fluent speaker of English
- Have an internationally recognized TEFL qualification
- Pc or laptop with a front camera or webcam.
- A quiet and well lit space
- High speed internet connection
Let’s start at the basics
You will need an accredited TEFL certificate with at least 120 hours of online training completed. To teach in a more competitive environment we encourage you to have a certificate of 150 hours and above. Here at GTR we are all about your convenience. Teaching English online is a skill and requires adaptation and knowledge that you wont already have (yes, even if youre already a teacher) a TEFL qualification is the only way to acquire the key to unlock this skill.
You don’t necessarily need any other qualifications to teach English online, however, some online companies prefer individuals who have a bachelors degree, nevertheless, there are plenty of jobs that don’t require you to have one!
